Would you recommend breastfeeding?

Question for veteran mommies who have breastfed before. A coworker recommended it and I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about it . I know everyone is different but can any of you lovely ladies single out the pros, and cons for me? Or give me advice? Thanks in advance! ❤️

Pro: Breastmilk has antibodies in it to help baby during illness..your body will know when baby is sick and start producing more so they are sick for a shorter period of time! 
Boob stops all tears 😭 
It can be hard to find the right for formula for your baby...but your milk is always right!
You can travel or leave the house and just have to bring your boobs!
Postpartum recovery is shorter. Shrinks your uterus faster
And girllll I lost so much weight.,,I was skinnier than before my baby 😂 but still eat like a horse! 
Con: it’s time consuming in the beginning, learning. No one else can feed but you. So Id recommend pumping so you can have someone feed baby a bottle of breastmilk once in a while.

Breast milk is designed for feeding babe.
Scientifically formula does not nearly match up to it.
It adjusts to their needs as they grow.
When you are exposed to illness or babe starts to get sick their saliva in backwash triggers your body to add antibodies to the milk, exclusively breastfed infants usually are the last to get sick if they get sick at all. 
It’s always warm.
No bottles formula or water needed.
It’s free.
It allows for an incredible bond between mom and baby.
If you feel it is taking an emotional toll you can wean
The hormone release often helps with ppd. 
Formula just will never measure up, I think everyone should at least try it (for more than a few weeks because the adjustment is tough and painful but it’s WORTH it!) I ended up breastfeeding my son until 2 like the WHO recommends and because their immune systems are quite a bit more developed at that point.

Breastfeeding has so many advantages for both baby and mom. It can be challenging, but in my experience it is so worth it. My son is 18 months and we have been breastfeeding from the beginning. We struggled through ties and mastitis, but I would never trade our breastfeeding relationship for anything. Plus, it’s so much cheaper than buying formula. And I find it is so much easier to pop a boob in a babies mouth than make bottles, especially in the middle of the night!

Everyone has super good points. I say, try it— if it truly doesn’t work and it makes you feel overwhelmed and depressed for an extended period of time, then change to formula. A happy mommy and a fed baby are what matters.
I breastfed my two boys and plan to with my third. It helped me with recovery, bonding, and losing weight. It’s also convenient.

Pros: absolutely worth it, low cost, convenient, and amazing bond with your baby. 
I’m very excited to breastfeed again with my 2nd. It was one of the best parts of having a baby.

There’s nothing wrong with formula feeding if breastfeeding is not right for you. But the world health organization DOES recognize breast milk as the best choice nutritionally. (:

Saw this on FB awhile back. The power of breastmilk is amazing!! In the end, it is a personal choice and as long as baby is fed, happy, and healthy than youre doing great :)

There are so many pros. At first, it can be hard but once you and babe get into a routine it is literally so incredibly easy. I breastfed my first until about 6-7 months then my milk just dried up so she had formula, I breastfed my son for 12 months, he had no formula. 
Pros:
- you don’t have to wash/store/warm bottles or worry about how many to pack for an outing. 
- it’s great for bonding
- you can easily control what your babe is eating by what you’re consuming 
- Any sickness you come in contact with, your body immediately starts creating antibodies against it and it goes right in the milk so it helps protect babe, especially before immunizations.
- my kids both had less constipation on breast milk
Some cons are:
- unless you pump others can’t feed the babe (I personally pumped so my husband could feed our children also, it helped him bond)
- some babies won’t drink from a bottle so it can be hard to leave them 
- depending on what you’ll get for a maternity leave, some women have a hard time pumping at work and end up stopping once back to work. 
But unfortunately not everyone can breastfeed, or their milk can ‘dry up’ earlier than they planned. So do your research, but always know that if it doesn’t work out that you’re doing what is best for your babe by feeding them however you choose to. I do highly recommend at least trying to breastfeed if at all possible, from my experience it was great for my children and myself.
