Will my baby get sick from having on AC?

It’s very hot in Melbourne today, my mom is visiting from the US. She keep telling me to keep the AC off as it will give baby colic or he’ll get sick. It’s friggin hot and even baby is breaking out in heat bumps.

No, I ran the ac with my son as a newborn during summer. He was fine. Don’t worry :)

I live in the middle east and our newborns would be dead if we dont turn on the ac especially during summer.
So its fine but just make sure the room is not freezing cold and always turn it off after baby baths.

No. It better to have the ac on. Babies don’t do will with to much heat.  They can over heat. I had the ac on in my house all summer for my baby

No, your baby won't get sick. Leave the aircon on, or you'll just have an grizzly baby who can't nap with the heat. The Aussie summer can be dangerous for the elderly and the very young, as they can't regulate their temperature well with extreme weather.
My baby was born at the beginning of summer last year. She was fine with the aircon, and the only way she could nap was if her bassinet was under an air conditioning vent. This year she's too big for the bassinet so I've been using a portacot under the vent.

Yeah Melbourne weather sucks right now it’s to hot, but what about if I take off his clothes and just wearing nappies but using Fan? Is that okay cause the fan is not doing anything, is it gonna get sick cause his clothes is off?
