My sister fed her daughter triple chocolate cake around 8pm 🙃 and now I’m stuck having to get this girl to fall asleep. I lay her down next to me, she keeps getting up so I lay her back down and I try humming her to sleep for about an hour. She would fall asleep for about 5 mins and wake back up. I check her diaper to see if maybe she needed changed.

Tried again and she was dozed off but as soon as I put her in her crib she would scream bloody murder. Took her out, laid her next to me again. Rubbed her back and hummed some more and still nothing. Then she bites my nose and starts laughing. I let her know I wasn’t laughing and it isn’t funny it’s bed time. She did EVERYTHING to not sleep.

Her parents finally get home and I’m just feeling so frustrated. It makes me feel like I’m not ready to be a mom and my son is due in 5 weeks. The issue is, this poor little girl is so used to being held that she will NOT sleep by herself. It makes me feel like I’m going to fail as a mom.
