I posted a picture of myself and my bump. Someone commented and said, ‘the gift of life given by God’ and I replied with ‘the most beautiful gift’ she then commented ‘thank you for being open to life’ so i’m not sure if she’s saying thank you for not aborting or how i should take that?

I think that’s what she meant. I hate when people make comments like that to me. Idk if it’s just me , but really I don’t welcome those comments at all. For example I posted my birth story at 16 years old and one of the commenters applauded me for not having an abortion like “other girls my age would have”. It’s not my business or anyone elses what other women have chose to do when they get pregnant, and I shouldn’t be applauded just for making a different decision that someone else. Sorry it just really irks me

As a Christian I'm sorry comments like those come across as offensive, sometimes they are intended that way (sadly) but most of the time it's more like "Thank you for not doing something I can't agree with". We try not to push our religion on others but we want to put our beliefs out there at the same time.
