Hi,

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and just received a call to say ive tested positive.

I'm also scheduled for a C section at 39 weeks.

With my 1st (don't know if positive then as in UK and they don't test routinely) but I haemoraged at 35 weeks stayed in hospital until I was induced at 36+6 and she arrived at 37 weeks. My labour was 40 minutes.

I know you have to have an IV drip of antibiotics for four hours before she arrives... What happens if I don't make the scheduled section and I don't have 4 hours?

I read that a section reduces the risk but doesn't actually eliminate it.

Would love your thoughts, advice and experiences.
