I’m new to OPKs. Help?
Okay so I used an OPK for the first time last month. My cycle is normally 33-37 days and OF COURSE I had a super short cycle this time 🙄 so I definitely missed my surge by the time I started testing. I used the clearblue digital last month.
This month I decided to try the clearblue advanced digital (I think that’s what it’s called.) I had two days of low and I’m on my 5th day of high. No peak yet.
In addition to the digital one, I’m using the strips. The test line has been pretty light, until today. I know it isn’t as dark as the control but pretty close!
So my question is, do the strips gradually get darker approaching the LH surge? Or do they just remain the same and get dark only when you have the surge? Like can you gauge that you are approaching the surge?
Another question is, I get a period just about every month, but I’ve heard that you can have your period without actually ovulating. I’m afraid that I’m not ovulating! Is the line being this dark indicative of there being LH present and therefore that I will definitely ovulate?
Thanks!
