So, me and my partner have just broken up. It wasn’t a messy or hateful situation just wasn’t working out. BUT ... my partner works away for work ( 2 weeks away 5 days home ) AND we have a dog together. Now when we got this dog I explained to him if anything happened, I would not be able to take her with me ( he owns the house we live in, i would have to move back to my mums ). He understood that this was in the end his dog if we did ever end things. The decision to end the relationship was his, not mine. I’ve said He needs to sort this out and look after the dog, he has asked me to stay in the house until he works stuff out with work or family. I am happy to do this for a little bit, I love this dog and the only reason I would do it... but I feel like he is having his cake and eating it too sort of thing ? We will be broken up but still living together.. sleeping together.. and he’s still talking to me and calling me every night.. I’ve said how messy and confusing this will get and he just doesn’t get it, any advice :(

DONT come at me for having a dog and not being able to accept the “full responsibilities”. We had an agreement prior to having her and he agreed if we ended he will look after her.
