Baby number 4 was due 2/26. I was so discouraged she hadn’t came. Since 37 weeks I’d been having prodromal labor and had been told she was sunny side up. To make matters worse, she was to be my vbac baby! My first two were vaginal and third was found to be Breech during delivery so I ended with a c section. I thought my chance of a vbac was slipping away. At 2:30 in the morning I woke up with a contraction, tried to roll over and go back to sleep, when another came 4 minutes later I jumped out of bed and took a shower and got my gear around before waking up my husband. We had a 2 hour drive to the only hospital that would let me vbac. We dropped our children off at grandparents and my husband drove 75 mph because my contractions jumped to only 2 months apart. We arrived and they immediately put me in a room and found I was 7 cm. I labored for a bit before asking for an epidural. Got that an hour later and was 9 cm. 25 minutes later I felt pressure in my butt. Pushed for 10 minutes and my 8#3oz daughter came out with a nuchal hand. No tearing, dont even feel sore. I’m amazed at what my body did and how God answered every prayer showing himself present in my delivery.
