My male coworker and I were talking about life after having a baby. He told me if he ever gets married his wife shouldn’t expect him to feed the baby or change the baby’s diaper. He also told me his wife is not allowed to work, she must stay home, take care of the house, cook, clean and take care of their children. He shouldn’t be expected to help with anything since he is going to be working. I was appalled..thoughts?

He’s now telling me that his mom will find him a wife with these qualities

She must be

-thin/beautiful with brains yet he’s overweight and balding

-religious

-cooking with presentation, she has to present him breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a silver platter

-be presentable know how to dress appropriately/know her limits

-if he’s in a meeting or talking to someone and he has an opinion on something she should agree with him no matter what

-she must not have an attitude, she must be down to earth, she should be nice and sweet, bend over backwards for people she meets

-educated but not career oriented, he wants her to have a master’s degree so she can teach their children meanwhile he didn’t even go to college

-she will not know anything about their finances, he will go to work and make money, give her an allowance and not tell her anything about how he spends the rest

-she must not ask him about his day when he gets home from work, she will serve him dinner and they will eat while watching the news/current events.

I feel sorry for his future wife.
