Have began asking “OMG YOURE STILL HERE??” “WHEN IS THAT BABY COMING OUT?” “WHEN I WAS AT THAT STAGE I COULDN’T WORK.” “YOURE ABOUT TO POP.”

Yes, Karen & Susan. I am still here. Our maternity laws/policies kind of suck and I got a family to provide for. So regardless of me being at this “stage”, I gotta work to get this paper while I still can.

Why is it so weird to have a pregnant woman work up until labor? Most women in the US don’t get the best maternity leave (me being one) and I can imagine that most moms/moms-to-be want to use it for when baby is here. (Although taking it earlier is completely acceptable for different cases and circumstances.)
