My husband didn’t. The only civilian clothes he brought were the ones he was wearing

I didn’t bring any civis when I went to basic other than what I wore there and I regretted it because I lost so much weight that I could not wear them home even if I wanted. Definitely would have packed a dress or sweats if I knew I would lose that much.

Very few. You don’t get liberty hours till several weeks in. But you can wear civis to church depending on the branch. (TBS Marines)

The two outfits I had from staying at the hotel until I shipped out . They locked it up and let us get our stuff the week of graduation. (Army)
