painful gas

i’ve been having really painful gas lately. my immediate thought is “am i pregnant?” which sounds stupid but, since i’m on the combination pill and most of the symptoms of the pill are similar to those of pregnancy, i’m just looking out for any major differences in my body. Is this a sign? if not, what could be causing this? my diet has not changed at all.
