My husband recently started a new job that is 500 miles away from where we live. He's been at this job since December and has been coming home every other weekend. Until recently he was renting a room from a guy who he met through Airbnb, but this week he signed the lease on a apartment.

Originally the plan was for myself and our son to stay in our home town until school lets out in May. Our sons only ever attended one school and we didn't want to transfer him with school letting out soon and him not knowing anyone at the new school, and us not knowing how advance the school might be.

We asked our son what he wants to do and he of course wants to go ahead and move with his dad.

I'm hesitant because of the school situation and because my husband's probationary period isn't up until May. (His probationary period is so long because he's started an apprenticeship in the union)
