According to <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a>, I am now a full week late for my period. I tend to rely on the app a fair amount because, in my experience, it’s been pretty accurate at predicting my period dates. I have unprotected sex with my SO quite often. I have consistent periods too.

Here’s the curveball: I’m on the pill. Yes, I am aware that not all birth control methods are 100% effective. I was reading through some old posts/threads, and I saw that a lot of women did get pregnant while taking birth control. I am occasionally late when taking my pills, but I always take them within the hour.

Since today I’m a week late, I went ahead and tested with a blue dye, cheap, Equate pregnancy test. It came out negative. Well, I told my SO this whole silly story of my stress ball moment (as he calls it) and he made the comment of the test being cheap and maybe it was a false negative 😅 So here I am again on the cycle of, “Well, shoot. What if I am pregnant?” 🤨

Since I tested and got a negative result, I’m in the clear, right? I know Equate can get a bad reputation sometimes for being cheap and off brand. In addition, I have read some complaints of false positives/negatives on old threads on here.

Am I all good at this point? I can’t figure out why my period is so late. I haven’t been under a whole lot of stress. Only except today when I bought the test and took it. I blame my man for making me rethink this situation 😆 I appreciate the help so much! Thank you thank you! 💕
