Question

You have been in this day care for a while now. Nothing appears to be out of order and your child is safe. A few years down the line, the daycare owner randomly bails out a “known” but not convicted pedophile. What would you do?

We're bouncing. "Innocent until proven guilty" doesn't mean shit to me when it concerns the safety of my children. On my way out I'd be making other parents aware of the situation as well so they can make the decision for themselves. Your personal life is your business until you associate with a potential pedophile while running a business that involves children.

I‘d pull my kid. There are crimes I could look past, especially when they weren’t convicted, but I ain’t playing with my child’s safety.

Any signs of defending or sympathizing with a pedophile, even in theory or a hypothetical situation, is it for me. Shows extremely poor judgment by the provider and I would no longer trust them with my kids.  The fact that there is an actual pedophile involved (convicted or alleged makes no difference to me) just raises the stakes even higher. Hell no, I would remove my kids immediately!!!! No daycare or convenience is worth my children’s safety!

I don’t think I’d jump straight to pulling my kid out. What’s the relationship between the daycare owner and the ‘pedophile’? Were they bailing out a family member? They may have an association with a pedophile, but all daycare centers (at least where I live) are very strict about who enters the Centre, there’s no one in there who shouldn’t be there

My old church had someone in a youth leader position that was arrested for charges against the child- he had a checkered past which some people knew but when the new charges can out it was shown he had had charges previously involving minors. Considering they background checked my husband to be an usher they either didn’t background check this man to be around children or they did background check him and still decided to gamble safety of other people’s children and failed one horrifically. We didn’t even have a child at that point but I was so upset with the way it was handled and there seemed to be no accountability for it there we left. 
I’d be very concerned in his situation.

Is the owner bailing the person out of jail? Why would that matter to me or my child? As long as that person isn’t working at the daycare I don’t see a reason to pull my kid.
