When did you announce?

How far along were you before you announced to family? When did you feel as if you were out of the 'danger zone'?
Edit: I'm about 6 weeks along and have my first appointment at the end of this month.

Told our close friends right away. Waited to tell family till 20weeks and we knew the gender after the anatomy scan! It’s just what we were comfortable with. Did not announce to Social media at all

I told my parents right away. I wanted it to be special when I told my husband’s mother and grandparents but husband doesn’t know how to lie and had to end up telling them around 8-9 weeks. I was pretty upset because I got these beautiful cards to send out and his mom was butt hurt that she wasn’t told right away either regardless of her knowing I had a miscarriage in Dec 2017.

We told our close friends and family last weekend at 8 weeks after we had our first ultrasound and saw a heartbeat and all my blood work came back normal. I was labeled low risk and we couldn’t hold our excitement in any longer since this will be the first grandchild (and the first great-grandchild) for both of our families. We are planning on posting a subtle announcement on Facebook this weekend and I’m only 9 weeks. 
I also decided to tell my boss this week because my symptoms have been taking a toll on me at work and I wanted my supervisors to understand what was going on with me.
