Did you catch a cold after the whooping cough vaccine? 💉💉

Anyone get sick after whooping cough vaccination? I’ve been healthy & have not got a cold my entire pregnancy. I’m 31 weeks and yesterday my doctor gave me the whooping cough vaccine. I got really sleepy about an or two after so I took a nap. When I woke up I had a sore throat, running nose & was sneezing. Although I couldn’t find anything online supporting this, I’m starting to think these symptoms are because of the vaccine 🤔 💉

If you do have a cold it’s just a coincidence. The vaccine wouldn’t have caused it. You might have some normal symptoms post-vaccination but those should be gone in 24-72 hours. 
A vaccine produced an immune response in your body as it learns to recognize and fight the virus you’re being vaccinated against. Some people have mild symptoms of an immune response which might include fatigue, slight headache, low grade fever etc. These are normal physiological responses to being vaccinated and a sign that your body is reacting properly, not that the vaccine somehow caused you to be sick.

No, cold symptoms take about a week to present themselves. What ever you have you picked it up a few days ago or about a week prior. Your immune system is compromised while pregnant and you can be a very healthy person and still get sick easily. The DTaP vaccine has nothing to do with your cold symptoms.

I would try detoxing. Epsom salt baths and bentonite clay. Elderberry syrup, high amounts of Vit C and D. I would double up on probiotics as well. The vaccine should not be allowed on pregnant women. The risks are too great and it has not been proven safe or effective.

I had side effects from the vaccination. Everything I felt is listed on the CDC as typical side effects from the vaccine, but I definitely felt sick. It went away within a day.

Every time I've gotten a vaccine, my immune system gets lower and I get sick more frequently that year, especially when I've gotten the flu vaccine. No a vaccine can't cause you to get a virus, but it can lower your immune system in some people.

Hello. It’s impossible to catch a cold via a vaccine. It’s not a live vaccine but it can make you feel a bit achey or bunged up for up to a couple of days or so after as it’s just your immune system responding to the vaccine. While it might be a bit uncomfortable for a short while, it’s good as your body is forming immunity to Whooping Cough. It should be mild and pass soon. If you actually have a cold, you might have caught it from the doctor’s surgery waiting room or something. It’s not possible it’s from a vaccine. The possible side effects should all be listed on the vaccine information sheet they give you :) x

When I got mine I was sick for about a day but it’s not from the vaccine, the vaccine only temporarily lowers your immune system and since we’re all pregnant that means our immune systems suck even more.
