Losing mucus plug typically isn’t a sign of labor for most women.  You can lose it all throughout your pregnancy & it regenerates itself.  I have been losing bits and pieces of mine since 25 weeks & I’m currently 34 weeks 2 days.  With my first pregnancy I started losing parts of my musics plug at 25 weeks as well. I didn’t give birth until 39 weeks 5 days. I had bloody show the day before I went into labor.

I lost my mucus plug and then my water broke one after the other. Exactly 39 weeks. Had the baby 24 hours later

My friend lost her mucous plug when a nurse checked to see how dilated she was, and they stripped her membranes 1 time. She started bleeding the next day and had contractions on and off. And then she went into labor around 7am Thursday morning, but she didn’t have him until this morning around 5am. They stripped her membranes 2 more times and had to break her water because she wasn’t dialting fast enough.
