I need some advice. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 months and I have never felt more at peace and in love with anyone before. I feel like he has become a part of me, and with this apprenticeship program he applied for and just got accepted into, he may have to move 6 hours away as soon as in a few months. He’s already told me that he isn’t going to break up with me if he has to move and that we’ll still visit each other all the time and talk every day, but I’m having a lot of mixed emotions about the situation.

I’m genuinely so so so happy for him because he wanted this so badly and it will be an amazing career opportunity for him, and I love him so much that I don’t want to hold him back from this and how good it would be for his and maybe even potentially our future. But I’m also really really upset that he’s going to have to move.

I’ll be in college this fall so I’ll have more time to go see him, but still. I want to tell him how happy I am for him, but also tell him how I feel. But I don’t want him to feel any sort of guilt or think that I’m not happy for him. How should I approach this?

Any advice for LDR or soon to be LDR would be greatly appreciated.
