Just looking for feedback on if this is something we should be concerned about. My friends son is 2 and is extremely extremely socially shy. He stays home w his mom all day and is an only child. He is terrified of other kids. If out in a public play place, he does not leave his moms arms or lap even if they are there for like 3 hours. All other areas of development seem right on track, maybe a slight speech delay but nothing major. We have been on play dates together and you can’t even remotely play with him cuz he will never leave his moms lap or arms at all. She’s wondering if she should be really worried or concerned.
