So my SO and I were talking about our future, and he mentions he’s been applying to all these jobs and I’m sitting here so proud of him as he graduates from his masters next month. I’m telling him that if he needs any help with interviews just let me know.

And then he drops the ball.

He interviewed at two Chicago companies.

And it would be an issue,

Except I’m in school for another year and a half.

And we live in the middle of Michigan.

I can’t help but wonder when he was gonna tell me. We had been talking about my little “fantasy” of us just running away together, as our families hate us being together and I just can’t take the stress of school most of the time. I honestly never thought it would happen, but then he says he’s actually trying to do that.

He wants to get a good job where I don’t need to work. Personally I would like a job at home, but you get the idea.

Part of me is so excited for him, the other half is sad because I’m concerned what will happen.
