Estimating baby weight?

Question

Can they only estimate how much your baby weighs by ultrasound? Or is there another way? I’m dying to know how big she is but don’t think they’ll be giving me another ultrasound.

My doctor did the fundal height measurement and said she would probably be around the same as my first daughter. I don’t know how accurate it is but my friend’s doctor at the same clinic did the fundal height and she was spot on with weight assumption.

I had my last ultrasound at 36 weeks but it was not accurate at all. They scared me into thinking I was going to have a huge baby but she was 6 lbs 10 oz lol a lot of things can affect the estimate though.

Only estimate, the weight they give you could be a pound or so off give or take.

Sometimes you get another ultrasound around 36 weeks, depending on doctor. With my first I got one at 36 weeks and they told me his weight at that appointment.
