Contractions?

At what point do you start feeling contractions? I’m 4cm and having none I went from 3 cm dilated to 4cm in two days

I thought 4cm is established labour.

I'm currently in a similar situation I'm 36.3 and been dialated to 4cm for nearly 3 days been to the hospital twice no contractions as of yet and I'm 60% effaced and they've sent me home each time saying I'm not in labor and to come back if I have regular contractions every 5 minutes lasting longer than an hour that don't go away with walking eating or napping. This is my first baby and I'm super confused . Hopefully everything goes well for you.

I was 4 cm without knowing it with my first and I went to my dr appt. The day of my due date, dr. Checked me and said go to hospital. Once he checked me I started feeling contractions. With my 2nd, I was 4 cm for one full day without any contractions at all. Then I walked and walked and the next morning at 5 am I started having contractions and had her at 2 pm.
Idk why I didnt feel the contractions while I was dialating to a 4.

I was told not to go to hospital until my contractions are 2-3 mins apart and I can’t walk or talk through them 🤷🏼‍♀️
