When to stop using baby monitor

Question

A lot of my friends stopped using a baby monitor when they transitioned their toddler to their big kid bed. Is that the norm? I feel like i will want one in her room for another few years

My 2 yo is still in his crib and we still have the monitor going every night. Not sure when we will stop using it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Every family is different. Do what works best for yours. 💕

I still use mine! I don’t see the need to stop using it. She sleeps upstairs and sometimes, I wouldn’t be able to hear her if I didn’t have the monitor on.

I joke about keeping it in my little girl's room until she moves out 
Probably keep it up a little after we transition to a toddler bed just to keep an eye on her until she's use to that bed

We have two girls, 27 months and 5 month(she is still in our bedroom for now) and we will be using a monitor for years to come. Accidents still can happen and I would rather be safe then sorry

We’re still using ours, her room is right next to our bedroom but I have to wear earplugs to bed because my husband snores so I can’t hear my daughter thru the wall, I have the sound turned off but if she makes noise the screen turns on & the light from it wakes me up, 
She’s potty trained @ night but sometimes she poops 1st thing in the morning & she doesn’t know how to wipe herself yet so I try to rush in as soon as she gets up & gets on the potty so she doesn’t climb back in bed w/ a poopy bum! I’ll probably stop using the monitor once she knows how to wipe or once she figures out how to open her bedroom door (assuming then that she’ll be able to come get us if she needs us)

We have a 9 month old too and our video monitor can be used for 2 cameras but you can only use one screen at a time... so I usually leave it on the baby overnights, but I check on him right before bed and first thing in the morning.

I see no reason to stop using it at this point, I want to know if he is crying or needs something or God forbid is hurt. When he takes a nap upstairs I want to be able to hear and see him while I am downstairs.

We moved his monitor into his big boy room. We are expecting number 2 in June and are currently in the market for a set of video monitors that can be either checked on our phones or from one station. 
Sounds stupid but I'm worried about him getting tangled in bedding still.  He's also not a fantastic sleeper so if I can catch him before he's too far up our chances are better at getting him back to sleep.
