Anyone had a mammogram? If yes, does it hurt?

I went to my obgyn today and she told me I have a moving lump. She said it's usually normal but I still need to go for a mammogram just in case. I'm 28 years old.

I had one when I was 25. I had a lump as well. Thankfully, mine ended up being benign. I had to have 2 or 3 mammograms. I don’t know if this matters but I’m a B cup. I thought it was unpleasant, like a pap smear, but not painful. It really just feels like you think, your boobs are being squished! I don’t have a high pain tolerance either and I don’t think it was bad, honestly. Best of luck and I hope you get clean results too!!! ♥️

Yes they hurt but I’m begging you to go!! My sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at 28 and it had been there for over 6 months because no one would take her seriously. It’s worth the 5 minutes of pain to have the piece of mind!!!

I think it depends I had one done but I’m an Acup so there’s not much to squish so it didn’t hut

I had my first mammogram at 13years old, then I had a lump removed. The squishing sensation was uncomfortable, but not necessarily painful. The second time I had one I was in my 20s, same thing just uncomfortable.

Yes they hurt. They flatten and squish your boon like a pancake between two ‘plates’ and take pictures. And you’re locked in there, you. Can’t just pull away or anything.
