Now what? After the test, new to province.

I don't have a doctor here, we just moved to this province. My last pregnancy; I eventually went to a walk-in after some spotting around 8 weeks and they lined me up with prenatal care from then on. 
Is that still my route? Have it confirmed at a walk in or should I be looking up doctors offices?

I didn’t have a doctor last pregnancy and just called the maternity centre at our hospital. I got set up with an ob there :) you could also go the midwife route if that’s something you’re in to

What province are you in? Join a local mom's group on Facebook to get a recommendation for doctors. Or call your provincial health body and ask for guidance for low or high risk pregnancy care in your region.

It sounds like you’re from Canada. I would call some drs in your area and ask if they are accepting new patients or just go to a walk in and ask to be referred to an OB. You will also have to get a referral to what ever hospital you want to deliver at and will start going to appts at the hospital around 20 weeks. :) congrats!!

You don’t really need a confirmation appointment, an at home test is just as accurate as what they would do at the doctor’s office. I would go through your insurance & see who is accepting new patients! Then set up an appointment it’s usually not until 8-10 weeks an OB wants to see you anyways!

I would check with your insurance and see what doctors they have in your network. Then you can look into doctors and start getting prenatal care set up.
