Nicknames for Isla? Her middle name will be Jane (sentimental reasons)

Personally, I don’t see much of a point in giving a nickname for a person whose name is already shorter (if it’s a variation of that person’s name). 
Like a girl whose name is Kaitlyn might have the nickname Katie or Kate, but if her name was already Kate, you wouldn’t necessarily shorten it further. Know what I mean? 
That’s just a personal opinion though, as others I’m sure would disagree.

I don’t think Isla needs a nickname as it’s so short already. Plus nicknames usually happen organically and it could have no resemblance to their real name. My 6M old daughter’s name is Emma and I call her Buggy lol

Personally I love Isla as is. 
But re shortening names, you can always go the other way instead. Our boy is Finn and we call him Finny, Finnegan, Finley, Finny-Finn-Ginn etc.
