Can rough sex cause a miscarriage??

I’m 13 weeks and 5 days. Last night after me and my boyfriend had sex I started to have brown spotting. I’m starting to get scared that I’m having another miscarriage. I did have an ultrasound done on Friday baby is doing good and health. But now I’m scared something happened cause why I am having brown spotting now?

Brown is old blood. I wouldn’t be too worried but if it’s fresh red blood get it checked

Brown blood is old blood that most likely just got knocked lose from when you were having sex. I had a miscarriage and it was bright red blood and very painful! You’ll be okay :)

My dr said there is no way sex can cause a miscarriage and that if an unfortunate miscarriage occurs it was because it was going to happen no matter what (like genetic disorder, chromosome disorder) not from the act of sex
