So I’m a total freak and my boyfriend does all the stuff I like but he’s way more vanilla then me but I love being tied up, choked, hit, spanked, whipped, degraded and just tossed around and he’s ok with all that he’ll do it cause I like it but I really wanna ask him to start cutting me like on my back and thighs and maybe stomach but I’m not sure how to. How would y’all ask a question like this ?

i have a couple mutual friends who have started incorporating knife play with their partners and the number one thing has definitely been communicating. not just with what you say, but how often, and how you bring things up. definitely bring it up when they are somewhere they already feel comfortable so you don’t add a potentially uncomfortable conversation into an otherwise already uncomfortable environment. and definitely make sure he knows his feelings and wants are just as much of a priority to you as yours are. let him know if he is uncomfortable with it, that that is completely okay. maybe try explaining to him why knife play excites you, why you want to try it with him, etc. making sure he feels good and confident about the relationship the entire time. and agreeing with another comment, you could mention taking first aid classes together etc so it doesn’t seem like such a potentially scary, dangerous situation to him.

Do your research first.  Include how he can get trained on first aid and some basics on how to do the cutting.
Reason being, if you ask him and he says no then it's a no.  If you push him into it you are bending the consentual rule and that is no good.  If you go into it saying things like how you two can prepare for it by taking a first aid class and studying cutting techniques or something you will likely get a much better answer.
It's edge play, so due diligence it's necessary.
