Autoimmune hives?

Anyone on here with an autoimmune disease and has experienced unexplainable hives? 
I had an AWFUL outbreak of hives that covered my entire body when I was 18w pregnant and lasted until I was 19w it only went away with the help of a steroid (oral) 
Anyways I’ve been type 1 diabetic since I was 4 and and have no known allergies. Nothing in my routine has changed either. 
With that being said I’m now 33+4 and experiencing the hives all over again except they won’t give me an oral steroid since I’m border hypertension :( 
 
This is day 8 with the hives 😭 I’ll flare up every few hours but I’ll have small patches all over that consistently stay. 
I’m taking an oatmeal / baking soda bath once a day for 20 minutes and using Benedryl cream and hydrocortisone and using an aveeno moisturizer 
My doctor believes my hives are autoimmune related and said I can see a dermatologist after I deliver in a few weeks.

I have several autoimmune conditions and suffered from hives my entire life. I was finally diagnosed with Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria and started Xolair. It’s a once a month injection they do at the dermatologist office. Antihistamines couldn’t take my hives away, but Xolair works!!!

I have RA and before I got pregnant I had unexplained hives for 9 or so months. I was prescribed something for them and a cream, they only helped a tiny bit. I am 11 weeks post partum and they are slowly returning. It was miserable. I’m sorry that you are going through it too.

My cousin has an unknown autoimmune disorder (they don’t know what type yet) and she has very bad hives all over her body.

I have an autoimmune blood condition. We thought I was having an allergic reaction to a treatment, but doctors don’t think that was it. No one can tell me what it was though. The treatment did immensely compromise my immune system, so perhaps that was a factor. Either way, it was a horrid experience. 
I went to a regular dr who gave me meds that didn’t work. I ended up in the ER that night because I was in so much pain from clenching to not itch (I don’t handle itching well) and my lips were starting to swell. The clenching led to nerve damage in my neck and arms, which led to even more pain and more clenching. They were giving me multiple doses of epi and eventually fentanyl because I was in such pain. I lost a weekend of memory. Completely gone. My husband says that’s for the best because I was miserable during those days. He and our son never left my side though. 
They let me go home after a week (ended up back in the ER the night they released me due to pain not being managed well). The nerve damage caused me to lose the 70% use of my left arm and 20% use of my right arm for about a month. Seven months later I have full range of motion back but not strength and my hands occasionally go dead. Our son was just over two months old at the time, and suddenly I couldn’t pick him up. I couldn’t even get dressed by myself. It was terrible.

To my knowledge I don’t have an autoimmune disease, but a few years ago, I randomly broke out in hives and it lasted for months. The next year, I broke out again and it lasted even longer. They were everywhere. My face, chest, tummy, back, legs, feet. I was so itchy, my entire body was just burning. Maybe you’d be able to get a steroid shot instead of taking oral steroids? I got a few epi shots.
