Just like her mama
As a kid I took all the emergency info super seriously. I would prep for electrical storms, tornados, snow storms, house fires and even hurricanes (I live in Oklahoma we don't get them lol). My 7 year old looks like she's doomsday prepping for the possible inch of snow we might get. We are using space heaters and I told my husband we should get the propane heater in case we lose power. Now my 7 year old is panicking. She wants us to not leave my room ALL DAY so we don't get separated. She's given me a bell, her daddy a squeaky dog toy, and herself a light up toothbrush so we can find each other if it gets dark. I have the world's brightest flashlight by my bed and a copy of Harry Potter she wants me to read to everyone if we lose power. My bed has 3 comforters, a quilt, 4 baby blankets and 5 throws on it now, there's a lighter next to the candle, she's rationing food and is scolding me for using my phone because what if the battery dies and we have no power? My husband's grandparents are less than a mile away and have a large propane heater, a fire place and a wood stove so im not overly concerned. It's 3 degrees outside and all we have are space heaters but if it got too cold they would pick us up in a heartbeat. My husband (carrying his squeaky toy) asked where she gets this from and then apparently remembered every spring I panic over stocking the cellar and if there's a tornado I grab anything not nailed down "nevermind"
