How did you successfully transition from swaddles?

Looking for some recommendations on how to ease my baby out of swaddles. For My oldest, we switched from swaddling to sleep sack and it was awful. What did you all do?

We went from swaddles to the Magic Merlin Suit. Started with naps and then transitioned to all sleeps with it.

I just didn’t use it one night. She slept fine.  We just made sure our house wasn’t too cold.

My first didn’t like to be swaddled very much so used a swaddle that was quite loose and allowed him to put his arms out of it, which he preferred. Around 4 months we switched for a sleepsack which we’ve been using until now (14m). I would say have the baby in the swaddle with arms out for some time and when they’re okay with it, go for a sleepsack.
