This cycle I had cramping starting cycle day 12, I’m undergoing fertility treatment so here is some real insight. On cycle day 14 I had an ultrasound to check my follicle size. If I had not had the ultrasound the cramping would have made me thing omg I’m ovulating early! Not the case, ultrasound showed my follicle was about to drop meaning the cramping was from it maturing. I trigger shot that day and now I’m in cycle day 16 and still cramping bad on the side I had that mature follicle. So that being said ..... cramping before during and AFTER ovulation lol it’s so confusing sometimes !!!! P.s if you didn’t know the trigger would have forced me to ovulate either yesterday most likely or in fact today cycle day 16

Cramping can happen before ovulation from the follicle stretching getting ready to release the egg. Do you have opks?
