Going out in Public

When is everyone going out in public or did go out in public with your baby? My baby boy will be 3 weeks this week and I am starting to go stir crazy. I have been told it’s best to wait 6 weeks due to it being flu season. But I am also breastfeeding so he is getting all those antibodies.
