Bathing our newborns?

Hey ladies... so my 2-Month old has had his cold ever since he’s born. That never really went away. I used to bath him twice a week or trice even. But this week, it’s been awfully cold at our place and I have a feeling if I bathe him, his cold will get worse. Should I continue bathing him? It’s been a week since his last bath time. However, I wipe him down with the Johnsons head to toe wipes everyday. Is that enough?

When our little one had a cold we just kept bathing her regularly and we made sure the heat was turned up so it wouldn't be cold when she got out the water I think the warm water help clear it up

My 3 month old has had a recurring cold since he was born (4+ times) and we still bath him every 2 days usually, not letting him go more than 3 days without a bath. We just make sure to warm up the house before the bath and not take him out after.  His bath is also warm. I feel the steam and being clean help. And he sleeps awfully if he doesn’t get a bath in too long, even that 3rd day is stretching it for him, he is a sweaty baby though.

I would say go with your mama instinct, if I were you I would keep just wiping him. I bath my 2moth old baby every 3 days.

Could you give a bath with warm towels waiting for him straight after? It might be the steam from water helps with the congestion. But that said, I don’t know the answer to this just sharing my thoughts! Or have a shower in the bathroom so the room is already steamed up (again will help with congestion) then give him a bath straight after in an already warm bathroom.

A bath might make feel better. The steam will open up congestion. Start the shower on hot for a few minutes before giving bath so the bathroom is warm and steamy. Baby will love it and won’t be cold
