When does second trimester start?

I’ve read so many different answers, which one is it lol!

Okay so to simplify it it is technically 12 weeks BUT what people don’t understand is that you’re not technically 12 weeks pregnant until you are 13 weeks pregnant. Does that make sense?

I hear mixed results. Some say 14, but others say 13. My doctor told me 13+6 is technically the start. I responded with a laugh and said "so basically 14w".

It depends on which pregnancy for me. My first pregnancy in 2006 they said 12 weeks. Second daughter in 2008 they’d decided 13 weeks. By the time the third rolled around my OB said 14 weeks. This OB said 13 weeks when I asked her. I finally gave up. I’m 14 weeks now so I guess it’s all good!
