Am I a bad mom?

My baby was crying and I took him out while I sat in the drive thru. I got to the window and got a weird look from the cashier. Am I a bad mom or is it just because it appeared like he hadn’t been in a car seat?

You made a poor choice because it is not safe whatsoever to have your baby out of the car seat in a moving car. Not even going through a drive-through. It is also illegal. You’re actually lucky she didn’t call the police on you. Next time park your car first. You live and you learn 🤷‍♀️

I get you were in a drive through but you can’t control the driving of others. If someone was driving carelessly and hit you from behind your baby could have gotten really hurt. I know it’s hard to hear your baby crying when you’re driving (I have twins so I get it). But next time park and then take your baby out.
