Has anyone ever had a pregnancy and told they had too much fluid in placenta??

I had my growth ultrasound done a week ago and I was told my fluid was at 34 (not sure what the measurements are) and normal is 24 and below! I have a repeat ultrasound due this Thursday to recheck fluid levels.... just curious if anyone has experienced this whether this pregnancy or a previous one 🤷‍♀️ I am diabetic but have excellent blood sugar control (on insulin/diabetic prior to pregnancy) anyway just curious! Btw I’m 28 wks 👍

I have polyhydraminos as well. My GTT came back normal. Dr. Said sometimes infection can be the cause or a rare genetic condition in baby (we have other heart abnormalities with baby so it was important for her to mention that in our specific situation). I also had a lot of fluid with my last pregnancy and no GD then either.

High fluid levels or polyhydramnios is common with diabetes. They’ll just watch you closely.

I had high amniotic fluid at my 28 week check up, don’t have GD. At my 31 week check up it was a lot but more in line... can change!

I was told I have a lot of amniotic fluid as well and that I may have gestational diabetes. Went and took my glucose test right after that and got the call that I do in fact gave GD. Maybe high fluids is a thing when having diabetes?!? They also told me they'll have me come in once a week to check fluids but not to be worried.
