When I was around 10weeks I went and got genetic testing and the results came back that there was a possibility our baby had Down syndrome. They gave me options, I could terminate the pregnancy, I could get the amino (that could cause a miscarriage) or wait until I was 20 weeks and see if she had it. My boyfriend and I chose to wait. Well I went in for an ultrasound at 14 weeks and 6 days and everything was fine I seen her heart was beating and everything was fine, LITERALLY a week later that following Monday I went and her heat wasn’t beating and she had fluid around her head. My doctor literally had no words he had no idea what was wrong cause everything was fine up until then. He made me come back the next day ( February 26) to have a ultrasound technician look and there was more fluid around her head and there was some around her tummy. I was measuring up to 15 weeks EXACTLY where I should have been but they said there’s no way that much fluid should have built up over a week cause she was fine a week prior. She also said there was something wrong with her ribs and they didn’t look like they developed correctly. I went to the hospital the same day and that an d&c and they are doing testing on her and the should be back soon but I was just wonder if anyone else has dealt with this and what they were told and how they handled it.
