To babymoon or not to babymoon?

I am debating on whether we should take a babymoon. Here is my reasoning on being indecisive: 
We just came back from vacation before we found out we were pregnant (got pregnant in the Bahamas). I know we technically can travel with baby in the fall but that’s not a guarantee because I could be scared to travel with him. 
I had some medical issues in the beginning of pregnancy which put me on bed rest and absolutely no travel. I was just removed from all restrictions and doctor said traveling now is fine but I’m still scared.
I should be saving my vacation days to supplement my pay during my last 6 weeks of maternity. Receiving 60% of my pay for the last 6 weeks of maternity won’t effect our finances that much.
What do you guys think? What would you do if you were in my shoes?

I think that the decision is based on how important a babymoon is to you. What are you leaning towards? Also, you could do just a weekend babymoon that won’t require you to take any days off. Which is what my husband and i are planning on doing before baby number two comes. We’re driving instead of flying somewhere because flying anywhere in my late second or beginning of third trimester freaks me out.

I wouldn't, especially if this was my first. Just take time to focus on each other and your relationship now. Do a couple of special dates. I feel like the whole babymoon concept is brilliant marketing, but not really as important as the ads make it out to be. Vacations for yourselves without the kids in a few years are much more significant in terms of relationship building, and like you said, you will want to save your vacation days now to spend with your newborn.

If it was me I’d save the holiday to have more time off with my baby, obviously that’s just me but I’d want as much time off as possible with baby! I’d maybe do a couple of weekend breaks or day trips instead to spend time with hubby but you can always go away with baby later on x

We are just going to do a “staycation” and save for a trip hopefully to Mexico for the fall or spring. Going to get a nice hotel room locally, preferably with a big garden tub that I can enjoy, and go to a nice dinner.

Take it easy and do a long weekend close to home. Do you get Good Friday or the day after Easter off? We are taking that weekend and doing a two night stay a state over.

Go. You won’t regret taking even 2-3 days away with your partner. It doesn’t have to be extravagant - just a couple days of you and them time somewhere that makes you happy.
