Hi! I got a cartilage piercing about two days ago and I’m so terrified of getting a keloid or hypertrophic scar so I’ve been doing the aftercare and all, applying the salt water solution about twice a day but I’ve noticed two things that I’m kinda worried about:

1) There’s some whitish-yellowish color pus/discharge around the hole on the backside of my ear... is that normal or is it infected? 😥 (I didn’t insert a picture with this)

2) There’s something sticking out from the earring itself, has anyone had thing particular earring and knows if this is normal or should I go back to the piercer???

My piercer told me to gently move about the earring to let the salt water and ointment get into the hole but I’ve read today that I shouldn’t touch the piercing at all whilst it’s healing and now I’m worried that I’ve done something wrong ( it’s been hurting a bit)
