Breast pump

ashley

I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advise.

With my first 2, now ages 3 and soon to be 2. I bought the electric tommie tippie breast pump and the manual. But i just couldnt pump any good amount of milk at all. With my first my milk didnt come in properly and after consultations with breast feeding women who came to my house we concluded after 4 weeks formula was best.

Determind with my second, it was so much easier milk came in on day 2 and it was going great, but trying to give attention then to my 1 year old and having newborn constantly on the breast i needed to pump so i could get a break. It was also to let hubby bond and connect, but my body just wouldnt pump any milk at all barely 2 ounces. I tried so hard but after 4 months i decided to switch to formula.

So after this long post! Do you think its worth buying the medela swing breast pump? Has any one else had my problem but this pump worked? My hubby is not happy to be spending all this money again on a pump and it not working. But 3rd time is a charm and i really want to breast feed, but like i said i want hubby to be part of this and also for me to get some rest at times. Plus hubby works away 3 weeks at a time so im left on my own.

Any advice would be great.
