Does she stick out her tongue? My little girl normally sticks out her tongue then eats her fingers when she hungry or if I pick her up in the cradle hold she makes a O shape with her mouth so I know she wants her boob..
Trouble reading hunger cues
I feel like my baby’s hunger cues were always more subtle and occurred for just a minute or so before she freaked out and cried. (Rooting, lip smacking, etc).
Now I feel like even those subtle clues have disappeared and she goes from content to simply fussy. I then have to look at the clock and just take my best guess that she might be hungry.
Is it normal for old cues to disappear? I don’t know what else to look for (the only time I notice her lip smacking anymore is when she’s playing and excited and she puts her hands in her mouth when she’s tired) 🤷🏻♀️

Oh no that’s a pain tho as they get so grumpy when they hungry. Maybe try offering her the boob every 1hr 1.5hrs see if she takes it, my little girl snack throughout the day I don’t normally look for clues as such but offer the boob when she just woken up or if she been awake and while and still happy..

No, doesn’t stick tongue out. I used to be able to pick her up and hold her near the boob and she’d root and turn towards but not anymore 😩 I feel like all babies have to show SOME unique cue, but I can’t find hers lately which makes me feel so bad.
