Anybody use this CARES harness on a plane? Or with your toddler have you brought a car seat? Use nothing at all? Thanks for your help!

We just use the regular airplane seat belt. We travel with our car seat, but we check this. Make sure to get a travel bag because the baggage handlers can do damage otherwise. We always bring our stroller to the gate, and check this at the gate then it's available right when we get off the plane. I also recommend bringing brand new toys and yummy snacks. On our next trip I will probably download some shows on my tablet for him to watch as well. Our son will also still take a pacifier, so will be giving him this for takeoff and landing to protect his ears. Hope that's all helpful!

How long is your flight? I really don't recommend a car seat unless it's like an hour flight. I know my son and there is no freaking way he would sit still for any period of time! Basically when the seat belt sign is off he is climbing all over the place lol. We try and keep him buckled, but we do our best!

Thank you! This is her first time flying with having to have her own seat, which I gotta say I'm ok with because the last time she was 22 months on my lap and that was crazy uncomfortable lol.

My friend who travels internationally for work every month with her daughter (long haul fights) swears by the CARES system. We will 100% be getting one for our next fight.

I've always wondered this too!

Nope. I don’t think it messes with the tray function and she said everyone understands. I asked her the same thing.

That's good to hear! Has she ever had anybody complain about the back strap messing with their tray table?

We’ll be flying with our two year old next week for the first time and plan on taking our car seat because we’ll need it while we’re at our destination anyway. From what I’ve looked into, we shouldn’t have any problems with it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh. Neat. Today I learned. But yeah, ours is fairly lightweight and not too cumbersome so I’m not too worried about it. We don’t fly very often so I don’t see the point in investing in something we may never use again.

Most have a handle and wheels to make getting it through the airport less cumbersome. The one we got was so useless last time so was just wondering.

I didn’t even know that was a thing. We were just going to carry it. I don’t really understand what the point of the bag would be.

We didn’t bring a car seat and then just rented one from the rental car company which worked out great for us. Our flight was just after she turned 2 and she sat in her seatbelt/ sometimes wanted to sit on our laps

We're planning to travel in few months and at this point we're planning to just use his car seat. Didn't know something like this existed. Intrigued.

Yeah, I found out earlier that we will have a car seat at the other end anyway so I think I'm just going to give this a whirl. 🤞

When we flew with our son a few months ago we just took the car seat on the plane. It’s safer. He was happy in it bc he’s used to it
