Who know how to drive a stick shift/ manual vehicle?

My husband bought a manual car which he wants it to be a family car. Hes trying to teach me how to drive and i just wish it was and automatic because they are so much easier. 
Am I the only one?

I love manuals . You’re actually controlling the car. No one can steal it or asks to borrow it, better gas mileage. Etc etc

I prefer manuals. I think everyone should learn how to drive using them. Maybe it would prevent some distracted driving incidents too.

I drove manual from when I was 16 to when I had my daughter. My husband thought it would be easier, he was right. I prefer automatic now. Stick is fun, but it's really just easier to drive auto obviously.

My husband had a stick shift when we first got together. He tried to teach me. I got it to go the first time without stalling but then couldn't get the hang of shifting gears. I kept laughing (this is what I do when I get nervous/stressed ) my husband got pissed thinking I wasn't taking it seriously and said nevermind. 😂 Never tried again.

When you drive a manual transmission, you tend to get a better feel for how the car operates under your control.
Pro tip: if you have to stop on a hill, set the parking brake so you don't roll backwards while trying to start up again!
