I registered for everything I wanted, and made sure to have lots of options at different price points. Plenty of less expensive things, for people that didn’t want to spend much. But I also used the registry as a checklist for myself of what I needed. Then after my shower I purchased everything left with the completion discount.

Yes also because at target and amazon they can do group purchases. So if a group of three or four people want to go in on a bigger gift than they can easily do so!! I had that happen with my wedding registry!

I did and I was shocked because people seemed to prefer buying the expensive stuff! I put so many affordable little things on the registry and people mostly for the big ticket items. Definitely put all that on the registry. Nobody bought diapers but I got the halo bassinet and crib and rocker n play etc

Nooo. For the simple fact that I’m very well aware that most people will think it’s excessive the amount we plan on spending for those things. I’d rather save the judgement and only register for things I know others would be comfortable purchasing.

We even put the crib and dresser on there. Most registries give you a discount on items not purchased

I did. I’m actually pregnant with twins so we obviously need more then a singleton and people are actually buying the bigger things already instead of the smaller stuff. I was pleasantly surprised, and am super lucky. 
Also, when I was starting my registry I was worried I had too much on it, then i had my friend look at it who has a 1yo and she’s like you should actually add more and gave  me a list of things that I didnt have on there that she swore by.

Family from out of town liked being able to order these larger items straight from the registry! We got all the big items we registered for!

Yes but they had already been bought, I didn’t want people asking me if we needed this or that. Plus you can use the completion discount!
