Homemade baby food?

Hello ladies! Do any of you make your own baby food? Is it worth it in the long run? Do you have a special food processor for it? I want to hear all about it. I’m considering it for my son just to avoid unnecessary ingredients and preservatives in his food.

It's definitely cheaper in the long run, but does take time. There are quite a few baby foods on the market that are clean. We've done Beechnut and the only ingredient is the fruit or vegetable. Where I live it's about $1 for a jar compared to like $1 for a pound of carrots 🤷‍♀️

We have been using the Beaba baby food maker! It’s amazing! So easy and like hardly any clean up! It both cooks and purées the food all in the same container. I chop up sweet potatoes, add it and it steam cooks them and blends it! Super awesome!

I make my own, and honestly it's been awesome. We try one new food a week. So far he's had carrots, apple sauce, pears, and this week is sweet potatoes. The apple sauce I didn't make. It's organic unsweet. You can find prep recipes and tips on Pinterest.

Mines not eating baby food yet but I plan on doing all homemade because of excess sugar and preserves

I have been. I have made two batches of food and it is easier than I thought.
The first was avocado - no cooking. Second was sweet potatoes which I steamed. 
For our wedding many years ago, someone bought us an immersion blender. We never used the food processor attachment but I found it works great for baby food. Just put the food in there with some breast milk, formula or water and blend until there are no chuncks. You can add more liquid until you get the right consistency.
The worst part (which isn't bad) is all the gear you need. I am doing it to save on single use plastics. I use the immersion blender food processor, 2 silicon ice cube trays, cookie dough scooper (makes filling ice cube trays super simple), reusable silicone bags (for the freezer), and small plastic baby food containers. I also have a sieve that I haven't used yet but will need in the future.
