Lexapro during pregnancy?

I'm currently 16w and i was put on lexapro about 2 weeks ago. I love it, I'm happy i feel normal. I was reading how it affects the baby it can cause serious harm. I asked my doctor and he said he feels my mental health is a greater risk than the baby's risks. Has anyone else taken lexapro during pregnancy and their child have birth defects or other issues? I just want to know if I'm scared for no reason.

I did try to take it when I was pregnant but my body just couldn’t take it & I got SO sick on it so I was directed to stop. I mean I could only take one pill (10 mg) every 3-4 days which isn’t good. Before pregnancy I was on it for a few years (20 mg). I was told it was safe to take & it sounds like you’re doing good mentally so I would stay on it. I was a basket case while pregnant cuz I just couldn’t take anything.

I did and everything was totally fine. I took it from the beginning of pregnancy
