How to transition to sippy cups??

Question

13 month old has NO interest in drinking from a sippy cup... she just holds it or throws on ground. What are some ways to help her understand how to drink from it? We’ve been trying for well over a month now and she just doesn’t get it. She does great with bottle, but she never taught herself to hold the bottle on her own. Help!!!

It may sound harsh and I’m not meaning to sound like a dick, but maybe give her the sippy cup and let her throw a fit, if she wants it that bad she will pick it up and try it?🤷🏽‍♀️

I started at 6 months and three all the bottles away no if’s ands or but’s he only had his cup if he got thirst enough he would drink from it.

Act like you’re drinking from it, my son loved that. Also, my son didn’t take it until he was 18 months old.

None of my kids took sippy cups. They use straw cups.

You may have to try different types but just like one of the other comments say you may need to just let her throw a fit when she is thirsty she will drink from it.....try a soft tip also good luck hun

Straw sippy cup? My daughter was breastfed and didn’t get the concept of turning a sippy cup up to drink. She loves straw sippy cups though and has been drinking water from them since she was 6 months!

My daughter went from bottle to cup , 
Crazy to say . I mean she made a mess at times but She Got it lol
My son on the other hand threw a fit but I gave him the sippy cup if he wants it he will drink out of it ...

Maybe skip the whole silly process all together 🤷🏻‍♀️ some kids just dnt take them .
