Long cycle = longer wait?
I’m going crazy.
My husband (sorry, I don’t know all of the cool shorthand - dh? Lol) and I have just started TTC baby #2.
My cycles are all over the place. Always has been. First period was when I was 18 and for years only had 1/yr. but the last year my cycle has became regular and predictable, with the same pms symptoms, but it is very long- 35 days.
Our first “go” was on ovulation day. 7 days later, we were at it, and as I stood up a small trickle of watery pink liquid came out. I went to the bathroom and a little bit more came out, but not much and that was it. I knew it wasn’t an early period because mine always starts in the morning and is always dark and clotted for the first day.
2 days after that, so 9dpo (I think I got that one right) my breasts became so flipping sore I couldn’t touch them, and are still. And have grown like crazy. I seriously have to go buy bigger bras today. And I’ve been getting headaches, exhausted, constipated, overly emotional, and just feeling... different. My husband is convinced I’m pregnant already.
Today I am 12 dpo and am supposed to start my period in 2 days. I took a test today (ok, well 2) and they were negative (but I swear my mind is making think I see a faint line).
With a long cycle- is it possible to still be getting a negative? Does that affect how long I have to wait? I’ve been googling like crazy and everyone I’m seeing has a pretty clear test by 12dpo, so I’m starting to think my body is just going crazy. I should be starting to cramp today if I’m getting my period in 2 days, and I’m not at all.
Thoughts?
With our first, I had no idea I was pregnant until I was 17 weeks- I had ZERO symptoms. But my husband knew and actually was the one that convinced me to take a test. (He thinks he has pregnancy esp lol)
